Daniel J. O'Connell, DDS
Hi! Welcome to my website. I have been practicing dentistry in my New City office for the past 32 years. I am a native of New City graduating from St. Augustine’s School and Clarkstown South High School. I became interested in dentistry at the young age of twelve due to the influence of my childhood orthodontist. I am truly passionate about my work and feel blessed for the opportunity to make a difference in my patients oral health both cosmetically and functionally.
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1985. I am a member of the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association. I am also proud to say I have been selected by my peers as “Top Dentist of the Hudson Valley” for the past 10 consecutive years.
My staff and I are proud of the warm patient-friendly environment we have created and the lifelong relationships we have built with multi-generational families in the area. We welcome patients of all ages and look forward to meeting you and offering you the professional, caring and pain free oral health care you deserve.
When I am not in the office I enjoy golfing , gardening, exercising and I am an avid NY sports fan ! I also enjoy spending time with my wife, two grown children and our rescue poodle Pierre!
Raquel Rodriguez, DMD
Dr. Raquel Rodriguez grew up in Cornwall, New York where she and Dr. O’Connell were neighbors for many years. Her initial interest in healthcare was piqued by a family of physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators. She attended Yale University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Before applying to dental school, Dr. Rodriguez worked as a Healthcare Access Advocate for Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center.
Dr. Rodriguez graduated from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she received numerous awards and scholarships including the prestigious Dr. Irwin Quinn Memorial Award for outstanding professional and humanitarian practices. She continued on to be chief dental resident at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where she was named resident of the year.
Dr. Rodriguez is passionate about building meaningful relationships with patients to facilitate their dental needs. She is committed to providing quality dental care in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Dr. Rodriguez loves to learn and frequently takes continuing education courses so that she can utilize new technology and advanced techniques to enhance her patients’ smiles while improving their overall health.
Dr. Rodriguez currently resides in Cornwall, NY with her rescue dog Kali. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rodriguez loves cozying up with a good book, cooking for her family, or hiking with Kali.
